Andrea moved to the Milwaukee area in 2004 after her husband left the navy and took a job with GE Healthcare. Moving to the Midwest was a very new experience for her after spending much of her life living on the east coast. She agreed to move here knowing that the move was a temporary arrangement. Now, 16 years later, she has made this area her permanent home. What made her stay were the amazing people, community, and what the city of Milwaukee and the suburbs had to offer.
Milwaukee is a city with a little bit of everything. It has the theater, concerts, and upscale dining she likes, as well as the local bars, sports, and fish fries she loves. Milwaukee has much more to offer than meets the eye. It is rich in history and is ever changing and improving to make it a city that people will want to visit.
After working with people with Autism for many years, Andrea decided to take a break and try something totally different. She found an opportunity with City Tours MKE and with that an opportunity to learn more about the city. Sharing the city’s history and sites with people coming into town for a visit is a fun way to highlight all of what Milwaukee has to offer!
Andrea lives in Waukesha, a suburb about 20 miles west of the city with her husband and two teenage children. Milwaukee and the surrounding area are also the home to many great colleges and many types of postgraduate programs that she is hoping her children take advantage of.
